🧹 Time for a Winter App Cleanout

A friend of mine told me something interesting last week.

“Minosh, I’m done grabbing those holiday software deals.”

I asked him why.

He said he used to grab every offer that looked useful.

Twenty percent off this. Lifetime access to that.

Every new tool the internet treated like it could fix his whole life with one button.

At first, he thought he was being clever, saving money, and felt like a secret tech ninja collecting weapons.

Then he noticed something.

Most of those tools sat there untouched.

And the worst part, he was walking through mud every time he tried to get work done.

Password reset here.

Update this app there.

A popup from some tool he tried months ago and forgot to cancel.

Every simple task turned into a choice between many tools.

If this feels familiar, your tool stack might be the problem, not you.

Big companies run on huge software stacks and many of us copy that without noticing.

The result is too many logins, too many settings, and very little focus.

Let’s make sure this stops happening to you.

➡️ Make a tool map

Write down every tool you use, how much it costs each month, and what job it does.

Just one simple list.

If your list still has ten different apps just for notes, plans, or docs, Notion can handle most of those in one spot.

That’s what I use every day, along with Todoist for my personal stuff.

➡️ Cut what does nothing

Look at the last 60 days. If a tool has not saved clear time or helped you make money, cancel it. You can always come back later if you really miss it.

You don’t need both ChatGPT and Claude either. Pick the one you use the most and drop the other.

➡️ Pick one tool per job

Choose one main tool each for email, website, analytics, and AI. Stick to those. Only add a new tool when you have a real reason, not just curiosity or if you see a cool offer you are going to miss out on tomorrow.

If your setup looks plain but you actually know what’s going on, you’re winning.

Stay curious,

Minosh.

Cooking a full meal in 5 minutes used to sound impossible. Now that’s basically what AI is doing for content. Business Insider explained that companies like Mondelēz can now turn an idea into a short social video in under five minutes, Coca-Cola uses AI in campaign idea generation, and Svedka even used it in a Super Bowl ad. And when it comes to the bigger picture, agencies are even testing ad ideas with synthetic focus groups before spending money on production. In other words, what that...

The other day, I saw a brand on Facebook trying really hard to sound young. The video had loud music, quick cuts every second, and big captions jumping on the screen. The person in the video kept saying things like “This product is honestly crazy good,” and “You guys are not ready for this.” Slang everywhere and trendy words in almost every line. But after watching the whole thing, I still didn’t really understand what the product actually did. No clear example. No simple explanation. So even...

The other day, I was thinking about how most people still treat TikTok like a place to scroll when they’re bored. You know, just for watching that random stuff, like someone reviewing a $14 croissant like it’s a life event. Or a guy explaining how to get rich while sitting in a rented Lamborghini. Anyway, you get the idea. But that view is getting old. People now open TikTok and type in questions like they used to do on Google. They want a quick answer they can watch. And believe it or not,...
